BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Boise School District is teaming up with Boise Parks and Recreation to provide childcare for kids who's parents still need to report to work.
Four sites will offer limited, free childcare through March 27th. 24 students are allowed at each of the sites.
Parents will be required to provide a note from their employer that states their current schedule. The daycare is meant "to ease the burden on parents who must work and are in high-demand jobs such as first responders and healthcare," according to a release from the Boise School District.
The first priority will be given to students in Kindergarten through sixth grade, according to the District.
The daycares will operate from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Breakfast, lunch and a snack will be provided by Boise School District food service staff.
The district says each site will have a nurse available to screen students at drop off and will follow CDC guidelines.
Parents can register now for childcare using this form from the Boise School District.
